We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join a dynamic team that supplies clients globally from manufacturing plants in the UK and China. Our company is a leader in the research and development of innovative materials used across various industries, including food packaging, medical, electronics, and automotive sectors.
Role summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to ongoing global research projects that explore the performance benefits of our products in specialist applications such as cosmetics and personal care.
Shift/salary & package:
- Normal working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 with a 1-hour lunch
- Flexible approach to working weekends or nights when required
- £14.25 per hour
- Company pension scheme (once eligible)
Responsibilities:
- Supervise warehouse operations
- Load and unload vehicles
- Check deliveries for accuracy
- Manage effective stock control
- Optimize storage space
- Communicate closely with office colleagues
- Work to tight deadlines and adhere to lead times
- Maintain high Health and Safety standards in the warehouse
- Operate machinery and forklift trucks
- Perform manual handling tasks
- Carry out general warehouse and ad-hoc duties
Qualifications:
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to maintain a tidy and organized workspace
- Efficient and accurate worker
- Capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing independently
- Previous experience in warehouse and stock control preferred
- Positive attitude with a flexible, ‘can do’ mindset
- Valid FLT license and driving license required
