Cogent Staffing are recruiting for an experienced IT Engineer to join our client based in Shipley, BD18.
The ideal candidate will have experience with 1st and 2nd line support, as well as comprehensive windows and application support experience. You will have a variety of responsibilities around 1st and 2nd line support, as well as plenty of opportunities for training and development.
Shifts & salary:
- Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
- Working from the office 5 days a week, some flexibility
- £30,000 – £36,000 salary DOE
- Full time permanent position
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting and optimising the deployment environment in relation to production.
- Offer a professional technical support & solutions to customers in both 1st and 2nd line support.
- Complete installations and perform database management tasks.
- Offering comprehensive support for customers with a variety of topics, including VM ware, networking, monitoring software, database software and Windows.
- Assisting other members of the team with various tasks as required.
- Attending training and development opportunities as needed.
- Confident and effective communication with customers
Key requirements:
- 1st and ideally 2nd line support experience is ideal.
- Must have Windows and application support experience.
- SQL experience is preferred but not essential.
- Any other software experience is preferred.
- Happy to assist and train in other areas as required.
