We are seeking a talented European Account Manager to support a leading company in the packaging industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer relationships and sales support functions across Europe. German fluency is essential for this role.
Salary/package:
- £35,000 – £45,000 per annum.
- Bonus of up to £300 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact for European customers, facilitating communication and support.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales Director for Europe, Fibre-Based Products, based in Germany, to assist in various sales support functions.
- Provide accurate quotations and organize deliveries, samples, and trials as needed.
- Oversee overall order management, including handling new business opportunities and maintaining the CRM system.
- Coordinate new product designs and modifications to artwork, ensuring alignment with customer expectations.
- Manage the critical path for product launches, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
- Arrange technical support from the UK when necessary, relying on other departments to provide essential information.
Existing Business and Repeat Orders:
- Coordinate customer requirements with manufacturing lead times to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Manage Vendor Managed Inventory for select customers, utilizing numerical skills for accurate stock forecasting.
- Proactively engage with customers to anticipate demand and seek repeat orders, ensuring sufficient lead time for production.
- Perform additional administrative tasks, including order processing, scheduling deliveries, and managing invoicing.

Required qualifications:
- German speaker; professional fluency is crucial.
- Excellent communication skills, including strong email writing.
- Highly organized with exceptional coordination and prioritization skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Assertive with the ability to balance customer relationships effectively.
- Collaborative team player, capable of building strong internal and external relationships.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of the packaging industry is advantageous, but training will be provided.
