Cogent Staffing are recruiting for Driver/Warehouse Operatives for our established automotive distribution client based in Bristol.
This is a temporary to permanent role, with successful candidates taken on as a permanent member of staff after a period of 12 qualifying weeks.
Please note as of March this company is moving their site to Patchway (BS34) it is essential you are able and happy to commute to Patchway from March onwards. Please only apply to this role if this is the case.
Driver/Warehouse Operative shifts & salary:
- Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:30
- Alternating Saturday mornings 08:30 – 12:30 (non negotiable)
- £11.70 per hour
- 1 hour unpaid break per shift
- 42 hour working week average
- Ongoing work with potential for a permanent role after 12 full weeks qualifying

MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUTE TO NEW SITE IN PATCHWAY FROM MARCH ONWARDS.
Driver/Warehouse Operative role details:
- Generating pick sheets
- Picking order loads from sheets
- Carrying out warehouse operations, packing orders, processing goods
- Using hand held scanners to pick orders
- Manual handling and heavy lifting of up to 30kg when required
- Driving to regular customers if required with around 10-12 drops per run
Driver/Warehouse Operative requirements:
- 70:30 split driving:warehouse – predominantly a driving role.
- Must have no more than 6 points on driving licence
- Must be prepared to pick and load van daily
- Has previous warehouse experience
- Must be capable of lifting up to 30kg
- Comfortable with driving long distances following route navigation when needed
- Happy to work within the warehouse not majority driving
- Immediate starts available following a visit to site and informal chat with the hiring manager.
