We are seeking a skilled or time-served CNC Setter Operator to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience with conventional CNC lathes, vertical CNC lathes, and vertical CNC milling machines.
Role summary:
We are looking for a motivated and skilled CNC Setter Operator to join our client in their engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various CNC machines, ensuring high-quality production while adhering to safety and quality standards. Your expertise will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing processes.
Shift/salary:
- Working rotating shifts of both 6am-1:30pm and 1:30pm-9pm (rotating every 2 weeks)
- Friday shifts are (6am-12pm & 12pm-6pm)
- Paid £21.40 per hour (36 hours per week)
- Long term, temporary positions with possibility of a permanent role for the right candidates
- If night shift required (rarely) paid £22.93 per hour

The role:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality components.
- Read and interpret ISO format programs.
- Utilize knowledge of Fanuc and Haas controls.
- Follow structured health and safety procedures.
- Work a 3-shift system with overtime available as required.
The candidate:
- Skilled or time-served in engineering.
- Knowledge of Siemens 828D and Sinuturn programming software is preferred but
- not essential; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with ISO 9000 quality systems and procedures.
