Cogent Staffing
As an Order Picker, you will play a key role in our logistics team, ensuring that orders are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for shipment. This is not your average pick and pack operation; there is a lot of reworking and understanding required for this role. You will need physical stamina and teamwork, as you handle various weights and collaborate with colleagues to meet our operational goals.
Shift/salary:
- Monday to Friday
- 08:00-17:00
- £12.21 per hour
- Weekly pay
- Temporary ongoing placement
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently pick and pack orders, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Move pallets using a pump truck, handling weights up to 250 kg.
- Transfer boxes from pallet to pallet to complete rework tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to assist with heavy lifting and reworking items.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure workplace safety.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy boxes and pallets, with 70% of tasks being light and 30% requiring physical strength.
- Good physical fitness to handle strenuous activities as needed.
- Team-oriented attitude, willing to assist and support colleagues.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is a plus.
