Cogent Staffing
Cogent Staffing is seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver for our client, a well-established dairy company. This role involves delivering milk and other products to customers, ensuring high standards of service. This is a full-time position working from the site based in Greetland, plus optional handyman work.
Shifts & Salary:
- Shift Pattern: One week on Shift 1, the following week on Shift 2 on a rotational basis.
Shift 1:
- Monday: Start time Sunday night at 11:30 PM (7.25 hours)
- Tuesday: Start time Monday night at 11:00 PM (8 hours)
- Wednesday: Start time Wednesday at 1:30 AM (5.5 hours)
- Total Hours: 20.75 hours
- Optional Handyman Day: Either Thursday or Friday, 9 AM – 3 PM (£85)
Shift 2:
- Thursday: Start time midnight Wednesday (7 hours)
- Friday: Start time 11:00 PM Thursday (8 hours)
- Saturday: Start time 9:00 PM Friday (10 hours)
- Total Hours: 25 hours
- Optional Handyman Day: Either Monday or Tuesday, 9 AM – 3 PM (£85)
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading delivery vehicle and ensuring it is ready for delivery.
- Completing necessary pre-journey and vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.
- Delivering milk and other products to customers while removing empty bottles.
- Completing required information on tablets and paper, including invoices and payment records.
- Managing milk runners working on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
- Organizing Longley Farm products into bags after Friday deliveries (approx. 30-45 minutes).
- Delivering in all weather conditions, adjusting shift start times if necessary.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in delivery or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong ability to interact positively with customers.
- Ability to manage paperwork and records accurately.
- Experience managing a small team or individuals.
- Willingness to adapt to changing schedules and weather conditions.
