We are recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team here at Cogent Staffing Ltd. Covering the West Yorkshire region.

Cogent Staffing is Yorkshire’s premier recruitment provider supplying Industrial, Technical and Commercial candidates to the Engineering, FMCG, Fresh Produce and Industrial sectors on a Temporary, Permanent or Contract basis.

Due to continued growth and success, we are looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager, a financially and career motivated individual with a passion to succeed within the industry.

Purpose and Responsibilities:

· To identify and convert new business opportunities in order to generate further revenue and contribute to the continued growth of Cogent Staffing Ltd.

· To maintain and develop existing client relationships, always adhering to ethical and best practices.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

· Meet sales targets as agreed with the company Director.

· Increase sales revenue year on year by proactively exploring all sales opportunities

· Actively and successfully manage the sales process; lead generation, client negotiation, and close the deal.

· Prepare tenders, deliver presentations and proposals for potential new clients in a professional polished manner

· Maintain up to date knowledge of the current recruitment market

· Be proactive and responsive to potential clients

· Identify other sales opportunities with the client by cross-selling / promoting the services

· Maintain on-going communication with the client in order to provide an efficient service

· Understand the client’s business and recruitment requirements when entering into a new business relationship.

· Keep abreast of any changes within the client’s business or requirements

· Respond to client requests for information in a timely manner

· Identify other client sites in the UK where supply may be possible Other

· Liaise with and support Branch staff in order to prepare for new client requirements.

· Keep abreast of potential competitors in the recruitment market

· Represent the company at networking and business events

· Maintain clear and effective appointment and diary management

· Any other duties as required

The candidate:

· Team player qualities while being motivated to work independently and to targets

· Experience within a recruitment sales environment

· Knowledge of Home Office / Visa requirements – regular training will be provided on changes to legislation

· Knowledge of regulated Recruitment Policies, legislation and Procedures

· Computer skills including Word and Excel.

· Full training will be provided on our In-House Recruitment System.

· Knowledge of current recruitment market

· Networking ability
