Cogent Staffing are recruiting on behalf of our Halifax based client for Machine Operatives to join them on a temporary to permanent basis. It is essential you have experience relevant to the role and are punctual, reliable and hardworking in order to be offered a permanent contract after a 12 week qualifying period.
Shift/salary:
- Training on days (12 hour shifts 06:00-18:00) including work during the week and on
- Saturday/Sunday
- After 12 weeks training you will move onto working both days and nights
- Days are 06:00-18:00, nights are 18:00-06:00
- Weekly pay
- Average 38.5 hours per week
- Ongoing, temporary to permanent opportunity for the right person
- Days £12.31 per hour nights £16.36
The role:
- Operate and monitor machinery during production runs.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Ensure production targets are met while maintaining product quality.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency.
- Document production metrics and machine performance accurately.
The candidate:
- Previous experience in machine operation, preferably in the packaging industry.
- Strong mechanical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
- Availability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
