Cogent Staffing
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team in the manufacturing of products. This role involves working on the production line and performing various tasks to ensure product quality and efficiency.
Shift/salary & package:
- Comprehensive training provided, as the role has a steep learning curve
- Starting training rate of £13 per hour (plus agency fees)
- Opportunity for permanent employment after a 12-week training period
- Full-time hours: 40 hours per week, initially from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
- Post-training, a rotating shift pattern (6:00 am – 2:30 pm and 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm)
- Pay rate increases to £16.80 per hour after transitioning to the rotating shift
The role:
- Operate the PLC-controlled production line
- Conduct quality control testing, including measurements and data recording
- Trim and finish panels using trimming knives, sanders, and power tools
- Label products with batch numbers and complete associated documentation
- Palletise and strap finished goods for dispatch
The candidate:
- Previous experience in a production line environment is preferred
- Physically fit, with an interest or background in manufacturing or engineering
- FLT licence is advantageous but not essential
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently
