Cogent Staffing are currently recruiting for VNA Drivers with warehouse experience for our Huddersfield based client. This is a temporary position, ongoing with a view to become permanent for the right candidate. It is essential you have both an in date licence to operate and minimum 2 years operating experience.
Role summary:
The VNA Driver is responsible for operating a Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) forklift to efficiently transport materials within a warehouse or distribution center. This role ensures the safe and effective movement of inventory in tight spaces, contributing to overall operational efficiency.
Shift/salary:
- Monday to Friday
- 10:00-18:00
- £11.97 per hour
- Weekly pay
The role:
- Operate VNA forklifts and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, shelves, and production areas.
- Transport materials to designated locations within the warehouse.
- Inspect forklifts and perform routine maintenance checks.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Stock replenishment
- Some pick / pack duties
The candidate:
- Valid relevant VNA driving license.
- Proven experience as a forklift driver in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of forklift operations and safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
