Cogent Staffing are recruiting for an Accounts Administrator on behalf of our Leeds based client. The role is temporary to permanent, possibly a permanent role for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining financial records, and ensuring accurate supplier management. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency of our accounts function and supporting our business operations.

Shift/salary & package:

  • Monday to Friday, office hours
  • 09:00-17:00
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Temporary to permanent placement
  • £25,000 – £27,000 salary
  • Office based

Key Responsibilities

Invoice & Order Processing

  • Process incoming supplier invoices, ensuring they match corresponding purchase orders and deliveries.
  • Validate prices and quantities against agreed terms.
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers.

Accounts System Administration

  • Maintain accurate financial records within our accounts package.
  • Update and manage product pricing within the system.
  • Ensure all supplier payments are allocated correctly and efficiently.

Supplier Management

  • Collaborate with warehouse and purchasing teams to confirm all goods are received
  • correctly and completely.

Reconciliation & Reporting

  • Assist with reconciling supplier accounts and statements.

Administrative Support

  • Provide general admin support within the accounts function.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in accuracy and process efficiency.

The candidate:

  • Previous experience in an accounts or finance administration role.
  • High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Strong numerical skills and confidence working with financial data.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
