Cogent Staffing are recruiting for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker for our client, a friendly family run metal fabrication business based in Manchester, M35.
It is essential for this role that you can MIG/TIG weld thin plate mild and stainless steel, and confidently read and work to engineering drawings.
Shifts & Salary:
- £15 – £18 an hour depending on skills/experience.
- Monday to Friday 7.30am – 4.15pm, early finish Friday of 1.30pm (39 hours a week).
Key Responsibilities:
- MIG and TIG welding mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
- Working on consistently changing projects and new challenges.
- Operating CNC press brake as required.
- Ensuring all work is efficient, precise and accurate.
Key Requirements:
- Must be able to read and work to engineering drawings
- Must be able to TIG weld and then plate (1-3mm).
- Experience operating a press brake is preferred.
- Experience welding aluminium is preferred.
