We are looking for a dedicated Waste Management Operative to join our client’s team. In this role, you will be responsible for sorting materials from skips, ensuring that recyclable and non-recyclable materials are efficiently processed. Your efforts will contribute to reducing landfill waste and promoting recycling initiatives.
Shift/salary:
- Monday to Friday 07:00-17:00
- Overtime required on occasion until 18:00
- £12.21 per hour
- Weekly pay
- Temporary to permanent opportunity

The role:
- Sort and categorize materials from skips, including plastics, metals, paper, and organic waste.
- Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets.
The candidate:
- Previous experience in waste management or recycling preferred but not essential.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
