Welder

Cogent Staffing are recruiting for Welders for our client based in Todmorden, on a temp to perm basis, with a permanent position available after 12 weeks. The ideal candidate must have previous welding experience with TIG and MIG, as well as any other fabrication experience

Shifts & salary:

• Monday to Friday, 8am – 4.30pm, 3.30pm finish on Fridays
• £14 an hour

Duties

• Utilise various welding methods (MIG, TIG) to join metal components, ensuring strong and precise welds according to specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to accurately fabricate and assemble metal structures and components.
• Perform regular inspections of welds and materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards and quality control procedures.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools, performing routine checks and repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Work closely with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks, improve processes, and meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a welding role, with MIG or TIG.
• Previous fabrication and metalworking experience.
• Ideally local to Todmorden.
• Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
