Cogent Staffing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Operative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring that products are assembled and finished to the highest standards. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with both hand and power tools in a warehouse environment.
Hours of work:
- Monday to Thursday 07:00-17:00
- Friday 07:00-15:30
- Weekly pay
- £12.21 per hour
- Temporary ongoing assignment
Responsibilities:
- Prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring correct labeling and paperwork.
- Experience as a dispatch operative or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Lift and transfer heavy loads manually.
- Follow basic safety rules and precautionary measures (safety gear and training will be provided).
- Vacuum seal orders for dispatch.
- Load and unload LGVs and HGVs in line with health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience:
- General knowledge of health and safety within a production/warehouse environment.
- Ability to follow set procedures.
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team, using initiative.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- FLT License is beneficial but not required.
