Our client based in Halifax is recruiting for a Paint Finisher with previous experience to join their busy team.

Shift & salary:

  • Monday – Friday
  • 08:00 – 16:30
  • £13.00 – £14.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
  • Temp to perm or day one permanent position

About the Role:

As a Paint Finisher, you will prepare surfaces and apply specialist paint finishes to various substrates for manufactured point of sale and visual merchandise products. You will ensure that all work is completed with due regard for quality, productivity, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces and apply specialist paint finishes to various substrates.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding and usage of spray painting equipment, including maintenance.
  • Understand production schedules and technical/construction/assembly drawings.
  • Have a clear understanding of raw materials, including properties and applications.
  • Demonstrate optimum usage and minimum wastage of paints and specialist coatings.
  • Keep the work area clean, tidy, and free of clutter.
  • Ensure all work complies with Health and Safety and other relevant legislation and company guidelines.
  • Provide excellent service to clients and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Act as a representative of the department, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Undertake additional duties as required by management.
  • Ensure work meets company quality standards.
  • Receive direct instructions from the Line Manager and Senior Management.
  • Work additional hours as needed to fulfil company requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in paint finishing is essential.
  • Proficiency in using spray painting equipment.
  • Strong understanding of production schedules and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of raw materials and their properties.
  • Ability to minimize waste and ensure optimal usage of materials.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Strong adherence to Health and Safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills for client interactions.
  • Ability to take direction and work as part of a team.
