Warehouse Operative/Driver

Cogent Staffing is looking for a motivated Warehouse Operative/Driver for our established automotive distribution client. This role will primarily involve warehouse duties with some driving responsibilities, focusing mainly on the battery department.

Shift & Salary

• Monday to Friday, Saturday mornings
• 08:30 – 17:30
• Saturday mornings alternating 08:30 – 12:30
• £12.21 per hour
• 1 hour unpaid per shift
• Working week average of 42 hours
• Temp to perm position

Role Details

• Picking and preparing orders within the warehouse, focusing particularly on the battery department.
• Loading your own van with orders for delivery.
• Handling stock takes and ensuring accurate inventory records.
• Performing manual handling tasks and lifting items weighing up to 30kg as required.
• Driving to deliver to businesses.
• Using handheld scanners to pick and track orders.
• Following planned routes and delivering to customers while adhering to health and safety guidelines.

The Candidate

• Must have no more than 6 points on your driving licence.
• Willingness to pick and move heavy items daily.
• Capable of lifting up to 30kg safely.
• Comfortable with driving for deliveries, following route navigation.
• Immediate starts are available.
