FLT Driver

Cogent Staffing are recruiting Counterbalance FLT Drivers to join a busy farm / food production site in Bedale. The successful candidate will support daily production and dispatch operations, working to high standards of food safety and quality.

Work Details & Salary

• £13 per hour
• 06:00–14:00 or 07:00–15:00 (Monday to Friday)
• Permanent opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance FLT to load, unload and move goods safely around the site.
• Support operatives with quality control checks and packing of food products.
• Pack finished goods for dispatch, including wrapping, labelling and preparing pallets.
• Carry out basic maintenance and housekeeping of equipment and work areas.
• Perform general warehousing duties: palletising stock, unloading deliveries and order picking.
• Work in compliance with site food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Accurately record movements and report any product or equipment issues to supervisors.

Key Requirements

• Valid in-date FLT counterbalance licence (essential).
• Experience working in a manufacturing, production or food environment.
• Ability to work the stated shift pattern reliably.
• Must have own transport — site is not easily accessible by public transport.
• Good attention to detail and understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Physically fit and able to handle manual handling duties.
• A team player with good communication skills and a flexible, can-do attitude.
• Lives locally to Bedale.
