Production Engineer

Cogent Staffing are currently seeking a skilled Production Engineer to join our client based in Brighouse. The ideal candidate will be apprentice trained and possess extensive experience in CNC programming and production engineering.

Work Details & Salary

• £35,000 – £45,000 per annum DOE
• Monday to Thursday: 08:00 AM – 16:50 PM, Friday: 08:00 AM – 12:15 PM
• 36.75 hours a week
• Full time permanent position

Key Responsibilities

• Program a range of CNC machines according to customer specifications and engineering drawings.
• Utilise offline programming techniques using CAD software for more efficient production planning.
• Implement and refine production processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Focus on improving routing accuracy, supporting new part introductions, and reducing lead times in turning, milling, and rack cutting.
• Create routing documentation and manage tooling orders to meet production needs.
• Assist in the design and layout of the shop floor and manufacturing cells.
• Engage in continuous training and personal development to stay updated with industry best practices.

Key Requirements

• Strong background in CNC turning and milling, including experience with live tooling.
• Prior experience in a production engineering environment.
• Proficient in PC applications related to programming and production management.
• Capable of interpreting engineering drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with various CNC machine controls.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing as an effective team member.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration across teams.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Reliability and integrity in all aspects of work.
