- Program a range of CNC machines according to customer specifications and engineering drawings.
- Utilise offline programming techniques using CAD software for more efficient production planning.
- Implement and refine production processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Focus on improving routing accuracy, supporting new part introductions, and reducing lead times in turning, milling, and rack cutting.
- Create routing documentation and manage tooling orders to meet production needs.
- Assist in the design and layout of the shop floor and manufacturing cells.
- Engage in continuous training and personal development to stay updated with industry best practices.
- Strong background in CNC turning and milling, including experience with live tooling.
- Prior experience in a production engineering environment.
- Proficient in PC applications related to programming and production management.
- Capable of interpreting engineering drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with various CNC machine controls.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing as an effective team member.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration across teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Reliability and integrity in all aspects of work.
