Warehouse Operative/FLT

Cogent Staffing are recruiting for an experienced FLT Driver/Warehouse Operative for our Leeds based manufacturing client.

Salary/shift:

• Monday to Thursday 08:00-17:00 Friday 08:00-16:00
• £13.50 per hour
• 12 hour day shifts required during peak periods
• Weekend work required during peak periods
• Night shift may, on occasion be required during peak periods
• Overtime paid on all hours over 39 hours per week
• Premium rates for nights, 12 hours & bank holidays
• Weekly pay
• Temporary to permanent opportunity
• Immediate start for the right applicant

The role:

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload products/materials from vehicles and containers.
• Ensure accurate stock management through proper handling and storage of goods.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
• Conduct regular safety checks on equipment and report any issues.
• Assist with inventory counts and restocking as needed.

The candidate:

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential).
• Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
