Cogent Staffing, which is headquartered in Dean Clough, is celebrating its first anniversary this month following 12 months of successful growth.
The agency, which supplies industrial, technical and commercial candidates to the engineering, manufacturing, FMCG, logistics and GLAA regulated sectors, opened on the 3rd July last year to provide recruitment services to businesses and individuals throughout Yorkshire.
Cogent Staffing, which originally only supplied industrial and technical candidates, launched a commercial division shortly after opening to be able to provide their clients and candidates with a full, dedicated service. Cogent Staffing is continuously expanding their portfolio of clients throughout Yorkshire across all sectors.
As well as launching a commercial division, Cogent Staffing also successfully obtained their GLAA licence meaning they can work in partnership with the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority to protect vulnerable and exploited workers, and legally act as a Gangmaster in relation to the supply of temporary labour to the agriculture, horticulture, and processing and packaging sectors.
Sam Gaukroger, Cogent Staffing’s founder and Managing Director, said, “It was always my dream to open my own recruitment agency to support Yorkshire’s booming businesses, so to have reached our first birthday following such sustained growth is amazing.”
“Our goal has always been to provide an outstanding service to our candidates and clients – all our successes over the past year prove how dedicated we are to continually improving this service. We never rest on our laurels.”
Originally launching with Sam Gaukroger and Hilary Karran, Cogent Staffing has now grown to four dedicated staff members and is currently recruiting for two additional employees.
