Cogent Staffing are recruiting for an experienced Stock Controller on behalf of our Batley based client, on a temporary ongoing basis. The role will work across all warehouse operations supporting high levels of productivity and customer service.

It is essential you are able to work in a fast paced and varied role, working alongside and reporting into your Team Leader.

Shift/salary:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:00-16:15
  • 36 hours per week
  • £12.21 per hour
  • Long term temporary ongoing placement

Responsibilities

  • Conduct culling tasks for half of the week and perform various team member jobs (sorting, photography, dispatch) for the other half.
  • Efficiently manage approximately 1500 items that need to be taken off the shelves each week and reallocated.
  • Engage in an ongoing process to refresh inventory until Spring.
  • Assist the Team Manager in training and developing team members in identifying winter inventory, desirable stock, and items needing better imagery for a second chance.
  • Contribute to strategies that will boost profit margins through careful evaluation and reallocation of stock.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in stock control or inventory management is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and guide peers.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members.
  • A keen eye for identifying potential and appealing stock.
  • A good knowledge of eCommerce, books and clothing would be a huge advantage.
