HGV Mechanic

Cogent Staffing are recruiting for a leading logistics company dedicated to providing exceptional service and reliability. They pride themselves on a skilled workforce and state-of-the-art facilities. We are currently seeking a qualified HGV Mechanic to join their team.

Shift Patterns:

• 4 on 4 off days:
• 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

OR

• Monday – Friday:
• 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on heavy goods vehicles (HGVs)
• Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical and electrical repairs
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Maintain accurate records of work performed
• Collaborate with team members to achieve high standards of service

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
• Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail
