Machine Operator / Production operative

We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our client’s production team based in BD12. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating production machinery, with opportunities for learning and progression within the role.

THE ROLE:

• Set up and operate production machinery in a fast-paced environment.
• Monitor machinery performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient production.
• Follow safety and quality standards during all operations.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
• Participate in training to advance knowledge and skills in machine operation.

THE CANDIDATE:

• Previous experience in production or machine operating is essential.
• Familiarity with computerized controls and machinery.
• Ability to work both day and night shifts (12-hour rotating shifts) including Saturday days and Sunday nights.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

THE HOURS AND BENEFITS:

• Rotating 12-hour shifts, with a maximum of 4 shifts per week.
• Shift patterns may include daytime and nighttime work, particularly on weekends.
• During quieter periods, substantial time off between shifts will be available, while maintaining a full-time salary through annualised hours.
• Pay rate of £12.21 per hour for day shifts, with a 10% premium for night shifts.
• Overtime opportunities available during busy periods.
• Full-time annual salary with payment stability after 12 weeks of weekly pay through the agency.
