- Oversee and manage the New Product Introduction process and associated projects across the business.
- Create and produce design briefs, technical reports, CAD drawings, and necessary calculations.
- Develop and design new products from the initial concept through to final manufacturing.
- Provide engineering insights for sales orders, including creating General Arrangement (GA) drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and ERP codes.
- Evaluate customer specifications and works orders.
- Ensure compliance of designs with current national and international standards (ISO 9001, PED/PER).
- Utilise root cause analysis and continuous improvement methods.
- Enhance and support Engineering Change Notice and Engineering Change Request systems, workflows, and documentation processes.
- Communicate project progress effectively to senior management.
- Gather and compile technical data to facilitate R&D tax claims.
- Mentor and guide engineers within the team
- Previous experience as a design engineer within the manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated experience in managing document control processes.
- Any relevant engineering or design qualifications are beneficial.
- Outstanding organisational abilities and effective time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and knowledgeable in SolidWorks.
- Strong attention to detail complemented by excellent communication skills.
- A dependable team player who is also capable of working autonomously.
