Bench Hand Joiner

Cogent Staffing is looking for a skilled Bench Hand Joiner to join our client, an established company based in Halifax. The ideal candidate will have ideal mould or pattern making experience.

Work Details & Salary

• £16 – £20 per hour
• Monday to Friday
• Flexible 07:30 – 15:30 with flexible start/finish times

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings to produce precise timber moulds used in cast-stone production.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble moulds that define the profiles of stone components.
• Collaborate closely with a Senior Joiner to receive hands-on training in patternmaking and mould construction.
• Ensure high-quality standards while working on bespoke mould projects.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety regulations.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bench Joiner, particularly in workshop-based manufacturing.
• Ideally previous mould making, or pattern making experience.
• Skilled in woodworking techniques and the ability to work with various tools.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Lives locally or can commute to Halifax.
