We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our client’s dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in metal fabrication and assembly, with hands-on experience in welding and the use of various tools. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with precision to create high-quality metal products.
Salary: £17 per hour
Working days Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications and technical drawings.
- Perform Stick welding and other welding techniques to join metal parts effectively.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various fabrication tasks.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any fabrication issues that may arise.
- Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations necessary for fabrication tasks.
Experience
- Proven experience in metal fabrication, including assembling components and welding.
- Proficiency in Stick welding; additional welding techniques are advantageous.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal work is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in all work performed.
