Cogent Staffing are recruiting on behalf of our Halifax based client for Skip Wagon Drivers on both a temporary only and temporary to permanent basis.
Role summary:
As a Skip Driver, you will play a crucial role in waste management by efficiently transporting waste materials across various sites. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of skips, contributing to the smooth operation of our services. Your expertise in driving will help maintain our commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Candidates are expected to provide a safe, reliable and effective delivery and collection service of skips, whilst maintaining a good relationship with customers

Key Responsibilities:
- Inspecting vehicle before and after use; logging inspection; reporting requirements.
- Driving and operating a chain lift skip vehicle and other vehicles if required.
- Maintaining safe vehicle conditions and protects load by complying with company policies and procedures and highway rules and regulations.
- Delivery and collection of skip containers to public and trade customers..
Requirements:
- Valid driving license (Category C).
- Class 2 Licence (minimum).
- Must hold valid CPC.
- Clean driving licence is preferable.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
