VNA Driver

Cogent Staffing are currently recruiting for VNA Drivers for our Bradford based client. This is a temporary position, ongoing with a view to become permanent for the right operators. It is essential you have both an in date licence to operate and minimum 2 years operating experience.

Shift/salary:

• Monday to Friday
• 14:00-23:00
• Flexibility around start/finish times required at times (earlier starts, later finishes)
• £12.77 per hour
• Weekly pay

The role:

• Operate VNA forklifts and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Load and unload materials from trucks, shelves, and production areas.
• Transport materials to designated locations within the facility.
• Inspect forklifts and perform routine maintenance checks.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies at all times.
• Maintain accurate inventory records.
• Collaborate with warehouse and production staff to ensure smooth material flow.
• Assist in the packaging and labeling of goods when necessary.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor.

The candidate:

• Valid relevant VNA driving license.
• Proven experience as a forklift driver in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of forklift operations and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate various types of forklifts, including counterbalance and reach trucks would be beneficial but only VNA is essential.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
