- Assist with panel wiring for large electrical units
- Mount and position equipment in the panel/backboard to the required layout (replicating an existing reference build)
- Make wiring connections/terminations as instructed to labelled points/terminals
- Route, dress, and secure cables neatly to spec
- Label/organize conductors and comply with the wiring documentation
- Follow procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements
- Flag any issues/questions to the supervisor promptly
- Experience assisting with panel wiring or working in an electrical assembly environment (mate/assistant level is acceptable)
- Strong ability to follow instructions and replicate documentation accurately
- Familiar with basic electrical wiring practices (terminations, polarity/numbering as directed, cable management)
- Comfortable working with wiring diagrams/markings/labelled terminations
- Safety-focused and able to work carefully with hand tools and wiring materials
- £16.00 per hour
- Monday to Thursday 7:30 – 16:30 with a 13:00 finish on a Friday
Cogent Staffing
We are looking for an Electrical Installation Mate / Panel Wiring Assistant to support our clients panel wiring department on large units. This is a time-sensitive job focused on panel wiring and termination work, performed to instructions and wiring documentation.
You will be working to a proven build standard, with clear guidance and references to an existing unit/design.
