- Track unpaid balances, issue account statements, and collect outstanding debts via phone and email.
- Log incoming payments correctly, reconcile customer balances, and solve ledger discrepancies.
- Handle account inquiries smoothly and negotiate structured payment plans when necessary.
- Generate aged debt reports and elevate high-risk or severely overdue accounts to executive management.
- Assist with legal escalations and third-party recovery services as required.
- Review and input vendor invoices promptly, matching them against delivery dockets and purchase orders.
- Troubleshoot vendor invoice issues and reconcile supplier statements.
- Draft scheduled payment runs for final management sign-off.
- Maintain up-to-date supplier records and assist with end-of-month reconciliations and general finance admin.
- Proven track record working in purchase ledger, credit control, or a general finance environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); experience with accounting platforms (such as Business Central) and AI tools (like Microsoft Copilot) is a strong advantage.
- Exceptional verbal and written skills, with a confident, diplomatic phone manner to build trust with suppliers and clients alike.
- Sharp eye for detail, strong organizational abilities, and a proactive desire to learn and take on higher-level duties over time.
