Graphics Technician

Our client is recruiting for a Graphics Technician (Pre-Press) based in Normanton. The ideal candidate will have prior pre-press or technical artwork experience, a solid grasp of Adobe Illustrator and 2D CAD software, and a meticulous eye for preparing vector files for large-format printing and CNC cutting.

Shifts & Salary

• Full-time, permanent
• Normanton, West Yorkshire
• Alternating weekly shifts (Monday–Thursday: 7:00am–3:30pm / 11:00am–7:30pm;
• Friday: 7:00am–3:30pm)
• £14.00 – £15.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
• 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, additional day off for your birthday, training & development, and extra company perks

Key Responsibilities

• Review and adapt customer graphics, technical drawings, and design briefs into production-ready artwork files.
• Prepare, configure, and output files specifically for CNC cutting and large-format print, ensuring accurate scale, bleed, dimensions, and colour management.
• Convert, manage, and organize diverse file formats while maintaining clear digital archive structures and project logs.
• Collaborate closely with production and design personnel to spot artwork defects early, preventing rework and avoiding job delays.
• Support wider factory and production workflows when needed to meet strict delivery deadlines.

Key Requirements

• Background in pre-press, technical artwork, signage, or large-format print production environments.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator alongside experience using 2D CAD software.
• Practical knowledge of setting up cut files for CNC machinery, artwork scaling, bleed requirements, and print specifications.
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical production drawings accurately.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the capacity to manage tight turnarounds in a fast-paced environment.
