Cogent Staffing are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and reliable Warehouse Operative.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with warehouse and quality control experience who is looking to progress and develop within a growing organisation.

Shift/salary & package:

  • Day shift Monday to Friday
  • £13.00 per hour
  • Full-time temporary to permanent position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
  • Loading and unloading deliveries
  • Carrying out quality checks on products and materials
  • Identifying defects, damages, or discrepancies
  • Maintaining accurate stock records and warehouse organisation
  • Using warehouse systems to manage stock, orders, and inventory data
  • Data entry, updating records, and producing reports where required
  • Following health & safety procedures at all times
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work environment
  • Supporting general warehouse operations

Requirements:

  • Previous warehouse experience essential
  • Quality Control (QC) experience or strong attention to detail
  • MHE operator experience desirable
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and warehouse systems
  • Experience handling, inspecting, assembling, or quality checking products
  • Confident use of hand and power tools
  • Experience in product assembly, testing, inspection, and fault finding
  • Good organisational and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically fit, reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
