Order Processor

Cogent Staffing are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Order Processor to join a busy manufacturing environment.

Shift/salary:

• Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00
• 1 hour unpaid lunch break
• Earlier finish Friday (15:00)
• Temporary ongoing role (3-6 months) with potential for a permanent role depending on business requirements
• Immediate start available following successful interview

The Role:

• Receive and check customer orders via email, phone, or ordering systems.
• Accurately input orders into the ERP system, including product specifications, quantities, pricing, and delivery details.
• Review orders against quotations and customer requirements before release to production.
• Liaise with customers to clarify details and resolve queries.
• Coordinate with production planning to confirm lead times and capacity.
• Raise and amend works orders and delivery documentation.
• Monitor order progress and communicate any issues or delays internally.
• Support despatch and transport teams with accurate delivery information.
• Maintain up-to-date customer and order records.

The Candidate:

• Previous experience in order processing, sales administration, or manufacturing administration.
• Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and ERP/order processing systems.
• Good numeracy skills and ability to interpret product specifications.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Calm, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
