Our client is recruiting for a Stock Controller to join their Sales Support Team. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end stock levels and customer expectations by collaborating closely with production, planning, transport, and external suppliers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in stock replenishment, a solid grasp of supply chain operations, and a logical, proactive approach to solving inventory discrepancies before they impact service delivery.

Shifts & Salary

  • Full-time, permanent
  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • £33,500 per annum starting salary, rising to £35,500 per annum upon completion of training

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete inventory lifecycle from demand forecasting through to product discontinuation, ensuring optimal stock availability and target holding levels.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for an assigned customer base, liaising with internal departments, clients, and vendors to maintain high service standards.
  • Conduct monthly physical stock counts, reconcile inventory records, and logically investigate any stock variances through to root-cause resolution.
  • Track slow-moving inventory actively and report findings promptly so corrective action can be executed efficiently.
  • Comply with all company health, safety, PPE, and site housekeeping rules, as well as
  • BRC guidelines, ISO 9001 (quality), and ISO 14001 (environmental) standards.
  • Track and maintain ESG key performance indicators within your area of responsibility to promote a sustainable operational culture.

Key Requirements

  • Practical experience in stock replenishment and a sound understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes.
  • Strong computer literacy, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder relationships across internal teams, external customers, and suppliers.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive mindset to anticipate logistics issues and implement solutions in advance.
  • Highly adaptable and flexible work ethic, capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
