- Cutting materials to specified lengths using band saws and chop saws
- Carrying out accurate measurements to ensure build precision
- Capping and preparing cut lengths to required standards
- Assembling products into modules and trapeze systems
- Working from CAD and technical drawings to build to exact specifications
- Using hand and power tools including drivers, drills, and spanners
- Conducting quality checks on your own work to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Packaging and palletising completed assemblies
- Coordinating with the warehouse team to pass off completed products
- Previous experience in joinery, assembly, fabrication, manufacturing, or a similar hands-on role
- Experience operating workshop equipment such as band saws and chop saws
- Ability to read and interpret CAD/technical drawings (preferred but training can be provided)
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
- Confident using hand and power tools
- Good organisational skills and ability to work to production deadlines
- Team player with a proactive attitude

Cogent Staffing are looking for a hands-on Assembly Technician to join our Shipley based client on a temporary to permanent basis.
This role is practical and production-focused, involving the preparation and assembly components into finished modules and trapeze systems, built to specification from CAD and technical drawings.
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term progression within a stable and expanding department.
